2016 MBP 'e' key flaky until reboot?

This morning the 'e' key on my keyboard stopped working consistently until I rebooted. Anyone else have this sort of problem on the 2016 MBP or any other Mac?

That's a new one to me. If it's not a coincidence, then it's not the same kind of issue others have had with keys malfunctioning, which has been a purely mechanical issue.

Edit: as noted in another thread, the cooling of the machine during shutdown can affect the keys.

Yeah, I was surprised that a reboot helped. It seems to be okay now, but I'm going to keep an eye on this.
