Received my custom build 13" MBP yesterday and the touch bar is dead. It responds to touch but doesn't display anything. Spent 4 hours going through troubleshooting steps with their support to no avail so it's been escalated to engineering who apparently take 2-3 days to respond!
Has anyone else experienced similar issues?

Just replace it

As it's a custom build it'd take them weeks to get a replacement out according to the support guy.

You could try NVRAM and SMC resets, but I think you will need to get it replaced...

Yeah, we tried that and a complete reinstall of the OS as he thought it was driver related.

I know, I'm going through the same. Welcome to the new Apple...
So your touch bar is faulty too? The support guy said he'd never heard of any others failing.
