Resolved 2016 MBP upgrade options

I'm looking for opinions from folks who've bought the new MBP concerning models and upgrades. I'm seriously looking at the 2.7 ghz processor/Radeon 455 (2 gb ram)unit. They offer upgrades of 2.9 processor and Radeon 460 (4gb ram).

As for use, I never play video games on my Macs so that isn't an issue. I do edit photos and videos pretty often but I'm not a pro so the unit won't see heavy daily use in that area.

For the most part I use MacOS alongside Linux/windows in a VM using VMware fusion daily. I generally run 3-5 apps a time.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Any opinions on whether or not the available upgrades would be worth it in my case or in general for that matter? I feel like once you're spending $2800 a few more hundred seems trivial but at the same time that money could go toward a good multi port dongle etc.
