There were some awesome deals out there over TG. This was certainly one of them!! You’ve got a nice (free) 4 yr protection plan against any keyboard issues too.....what’s not to like! great deal!

Why did you chose that ?
BH has MBP 15" 2018 i7 2.6 and 512SSD for the same price, 2,399 well at least yesterday

But Apple is going to fix it un a upgrade

Apple has known about it for a long time since the iMac Pro was released.

Apple has released numerous software and firmware updates since then including an OS update from High Sierra to Mojave. The problem is still there.

I believe that the problem is in hardware with the T2 chip and software can usually only mitigate hardware problems (i.e. the problem will remain until Apple releases a T3 chip or updates the T2 chip).

What’s wrong with the T2 chip I’m scared

Don't be. The odds are excellent that any 2018 computer with the T2 chip that you own will be error free. The T2 Bridge OS fault is very intermittent and most computers don't seem to be affected.

My advice if you do have the T2 Bridge OS fault in a new computer, return the computer for a refund (you can always re-buy the computer model). Service doesn't seem to know what to do with the T2 Bridge OS error and, since the error is intermittent, it's continuing to occur after their 14 day return period. Also, since the error is intermittent, people are having a much more difficult time getting a replacement computer from Apple.

Well the problem in my case is the 2018 I’m getting is a (downgraded) replacement unit for my 2015

Managed to snag an open box 15" 2018 Pro 2.2ghz i7 / 32gb ram / 512gb / Radeon 555x for $2411 shipped at Adorama. I was contemplating on the Vega Models but it was literally a $700 difference. I'd figure I'd just get an EGPU if I need the horsepower but FCPX after seeing Max's Benchmarks doesn't seem to suffer that much with the 555x.

That sounds like a great deal on a 32GB RAM model!!
