Apple has known about it for a long time since the iMac Pro was released.
Apple has released numerous software and firmware updates since then including an OS update from High Sierra to Mojave. The problem is still there.
I believe that the problem is in hardware with the T2 chip and software can usually only mitigate hardware problems (i.e. the problem will remain until Apple releases a T3 chip or updates the T2 chip).
Don't be. The odds are excellent that any 2018 computer with the T2 chip that you own will be error free. The T2 Bridge OS fault is very intermittent and most computers don't seem to be affected.
My advice if you do have the T2 Bridge OS fault in a new computer, return the computer for a refund (you can always re-buy the computer model). Service doesn't seem to know what to do with the T2 Bridge OS error and, since the error is intermittent, it's continuing to occur after their 14 day return period. Also, since the error is intermittent, people are having a much more difficult time getting a replacement computer from Apple.
