My 2007 iMac wireless keyboard with numeric keypad is terrific, and its battery seems to last forever, but when it finally disconnected it still had about 48% of power remaining, at least according to the Apple system preferences Keyboard pane. Is that accurate? Has anyone else had a similar experience? Thanks.

Edit: My mistake -- it's my 2-0-1-7 keyboard.

No never had connection problem. Now it has 33% battery and no disconnection. Could be OS related and I am on Sierra 10.12.6.

no issue .. Because sometime i do tend to forget till 0

now keyboard: 58%
mouse 18 %

** dam i wish no recharge..

Hahaha. At first I was shocked that Mr. Warranty was not recommending that I take the keyboard back to Apple for a warranty replacement, when I realized that I mistakenly typed 2007 instead of 2017 in my OP. Best laugh I had all morning.
i know.. but don't want to mention because you allready put some note you have 2017 imac .. Cheers man

I was going to say: since it broke after 11 years, it was money well spent and you should buy a new one at this point.

Find a nice WIRED keyboard you like and buy it.
Battery and connection issues get solved forever that way... ;)

True, but that's not really an issue because I could, if I want, simply keep the current keyboard connected through its lightening charging port. But I really didn't want to be forced to do that only two months after I bought the machine. So I'll probably just take to Apple for a swap (if it happens again). Actually I'm hoping that it was just the reported percentage that got confused, because the keyboard did hold its initial charge from the box for two months with daily use.
