Hello guys. I will buy a 2017 Macbook Pro 13” , but I can’t choose one. There are two options:

2.5GHz, 4.0GHz turbo boost, Intel Core i7, 256GB (Intel Iris plus 640)

3.1GHz, 3.6 GHz turbo boost, Intel Core i5, 256GB (Intel Iris plus 650) with touchbar

I will use for 5 years. I’m the student of engineering. I will use some apps for engineering (like AutoCad), programming and music (like Logic or FL studio). In your opinion, which one do you prefer? Why? Which one am I use longer? If I want play some games, (like CS-go) which one is more performance? What is touchbar’s advantage? Thank you for your all answers.

TouchBar model has a better processor, better cooling, better ports, better WiFi, basically it's a better and more powerful model.

The nTB model is designed as a lightweight portable and 'affordable' machine, think of it like an Air. If you're doing anything like AutoCAD then definitely get the TB version for the better CPU, you could consider the 15" if your budget allowed but the 13" should cope just fine. Neither of them have a very good GPU so gaming wise you're restricted to older or more casual games, again the TB version has the better iGPU here too.
