2018 12.9 Inch Wake from Sleep Issue?

i am on my second Apple Folio. On both of them I’ve noticed that on opening the folio cover the iPad does not wake up.

I can also see the screen has an almost imperceptible glow, but the screen remain inactive even if I tap it. The only way to wake it is to hit one of the side/top buttons.

Is this normal?

Wow, I'm having the same symptoms. Screen unresponsive when tapped to wake up.
Only happened twice, so I'm following your thread.
