2018 15-in i7 2.2 vs 2018 13-in i5 2.3

Hello guys,

I'm currently looking at discounted MBPs and am hesitating between the 2018 15-in i7 2.2 16gb 256gb vs 2018 13-in i5 2.3 8gb 256gb.

For day to day tasks, some light gaming and Lightroom work, is the extra 450$ for the 2018 15-in i7 2.2 16gb 256gb a good investment?

I love both the 15in and 13in for their pros and cons, so we can keep this factor neutral.

I would go with the 15”.

It looks like Lightroom *does take advantage of more cores [1], and most games should as well (up to quad). With the 15” you get two additional cores and much better cooling.

I believe it's within a good price range. I can get the 15-in for 2250CAD + tx (rougly 1700US) new.

Nice deal. On the upside I've heard they also put the 2019 keyboards in if the butterfly keyboard fails.
