2018 15 MBP vs 2017 3.4 Imac for video editing

I can see that the geekbench CPU scores for multithreads are much higher on the 15in MacBook Pro vs the 3.4 Ghz iMac. Does that mean that as far as video production/editing is concerned, the MacBook Pro will be significantly faster?
