I have the Dell Monitor on the way. I was assured by Dell this would work with my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9” via the monitor’s USB-C Port. I probably should have asked how this combo would handle Zoom or FaceTime.

Is there anyone out there that is using a USB-C monitor, without a USB-C hub, and getting it to work with FaceTime and/or Zoom? One of my worries is no sound, as I’ve seen post of USB-C hub users not getting sound when using their USB-C monitor without work arounds.

In all seriousness, I have a Dell U38 so I hooked up a USB-C cable from the monitor to my ipad and did a FaceTime call. The screen is mirrored and was fine but the Monitor used my iPad camera and it speakers and microphone. Now if I play a game that sound comes from the monitor not the iPad.

I was able to connect my Apple keyboard, trackpad, and Logitech mouse to the iPP. I even have the iPad on the MK and they all work together.

The bonus was the Dell charged the iPad. I also have a 6-1 Hyper drive USB-C hub. I then hooked up HDMI to the hub and also the C cable for power and it worked the same if I used the HDMI with Hub or no Hub and C cable only.
