Any idea why this would be? I am surprised that connecting the Airpods case to an iPad pro via a USB-C to lightning connector does not appear to charge the Airpods. Any reason why this would be and any idea how to fix it?

I’m honestly not sure, but I was also asking myself the same question a few days ago.

I actually got it to work eventually - I was confused as the Airpods case does not show as "charging" when you view it on the iPhone, but it actually is. I was able to charge the case from 10% up to 90% in 45 minutes or so.

Unfortunately, this is still not working very well. It only seems to charge half or a quarter of the attempts.
