2018 Keyboard Backlight

Does anyone feel like the backlight on the 2018 Air keyboard is very uneven? Particularly bottoms of most keys and areas like the "ca" in "caps lock"

Comparing side by side with my 2013 13" Air, its definitely a lot worse, and I don't remember the backlight on my 13" 2017 MBP Touch Bar being this uneven.

Just curious if I have a dud here or if it's just expected?

I have the feeling apple has worsen so much on this macbook! Screen, keyboard, webcam, magsafe, usb ports, CPU speed (Y), backlight keyboard, base price, what else? I have spent 1850€ on it and I hope not to regret it anytime soon (ah, add +250€ for the apple care because i dont trust apple so I need to get it now)

Uneven lighting was a MacBook 12 late 2015 issue.

I just replaced the keyboard on a liquid-damaged 2014 MBA and the new backlight (just bought new) is very uneven, with a bright streak from (and showing through) the spacebar and up through the "8" and "I" keys, not coincidentally right where the contacts connect it to the board. The old/OEM backlight was much more even and I've actually considered putting it back in despite it getting beaten up a bit due to the removal of the old keyboard.
