So my spacebar keeps getting stuck. Took it into Apple. They said they needed a part to remove the space bar and clean out the dust and they said they would order the part and get it in a couple days. Half a week has passed and I didn't hear anything. So I contact Apple Support and they tell me they have no idea when the part will come in and all they can tell me is that they see it has been ordered. Anyone else experiences this with 2018?

An Apple store wants to remove keys on a 2018 ? Are you in the US ?

The usual keyboard fix is to replace the top which contains the keyboard. Lifting keys on the 2018 can be done but it's not designed for it.

I would probably contact Apple support by phone again and ask for a second opinion on your stuck spacebar key.

I had just the Spacebar replaced on my third MBP2018 keyboard, and actually, the replacement has dramatically improved the double-strokes and failed strokes I was getting constantly previously. It can be done, it would seem.
