Seems others are experiencing this. It this something rubbing or sticking when opening? Very slight click like plastic or something rubbing as you open.

2018 Macbook - lifting lid and hearing a slight click - normal?

I think my 15” does. A very faint click from somewhere round the lid on the first ‘stage’ of opening.
I think it might be the hardware disconnect of the microphone.

Apple replaced my screen for another issue and now mine has the clicking sound too. Usually when I open the lid or when I'm using it and move the lid to adjust the angle.
It's super annoying since it never did that before, so I wonder whether I should just let it go or ask them to fix it!
