Why oh why oh why would anyone want to run Windows 10 on an Apple computer?? Someone please explain that to me.

I plan to do so, this holidays. W10 on the new MacBook Air via BootCamp.

I will let you know how does it run. I'll try to update on this thread.

I will explain to you. Why? Maybe it's just tech curiosity, maybe we are just curious to see how it runs.

But I'll give you a compelling reason: sometimes we need to run very specific software that... Turns out to be Windows only. Or maybe it is much better optimized for Windows. In that case, why shouldn't we install Windows 10 on a small partition?

It will run more than fine. I ran it back on a 2015 12” MB and was taken back by how smooth it was.

.NET development and many professional programs and company proprietary software requires windows.

I am kind of happy about the anti Windows propaganda, especially for people who are looking to get into programming who are force fed CLI/Linux/macOS- it’s no wonder I’m able to earn 6 figures on .NET platform doing relatively relaxing work with little pressure never working overtime - while I see people working 80+ hours a week for less than half what I make because they chased the “new” and “cool” tech.

(This is not to say you can’t get paid well if you aren’t doing .NET, but at least in London, the supply/demand in enterprise for such is so high)
