¡Hi all!

(Sorry for my English, it's terrible!)

I've just bought the 2018 MacBook Pro 13-inch with i7-8559U CPU and 16G RAM. I'm looking for an external display and i don't know if i should buy 2k or 4k display. My budget is around $450-500, and I'll be using the MPB mainly for video and photo editing and writing a lot. There are some decent 2K and 4K displays on this price, but i'm concerned about the performance, so my question is: if I work on a 4K display will i notice a notable lack of perfomance? It's better to buy a ~$450 2K display or a 4K -in terms of quality-?

Thank u!!

You'll have no problem running a 4K monitor at 60 Hz (over DisplayPort, not HDMI) with that MacBook Pro. There are some good LG 4K monitors around your price range. I ended up getting the LG 27UD69P. I preferred that one over the slightly lower model as it has an adjustable stand. The other was way too low. Regardless of that, though, the screen looks great and my 2018 13" MacBook Pro doesn't have a problem with it.

Haha. Nice! It's a great monitor. Be sure to use DisplayPort as you can't get 60 Hz over HDMI. I went with a simple USB-C to DisplayPort cable. Enjoy!
