surprised there is no 4K. For me it is not good enough without 4K. I have mid 2015 MBP. New screen is the same as in 2015. No point to upgrade
 
The "screen is the same as in 2015" part isn't true. The resolution is, but the gamut, color accuracy and brightness have all been improved. TrueTone was also added in the 2018 revision (although one might not care much for that).

4K would be nice and might come in the next redesign, but there are other parameters to look for in a screen aside from resolution. Display quality is not only a matter of bigger numbers.
 
You anti-high PPI’ers are in the Mac forums, too?

No, I actually want to know. Is it just because 4K exist or is there actually an advantage (however niche) to having it in a 15” screen? No judgement, I really don’t understand.
