The right side of the touchbar works, but none of the icons are there. I tried resetting the SMC, reboot, updating OS. Here's a picture. I assume I have to back up my information, send off, and be without for a few weeks. I do have AppleCare. Any other suggestions before I send it in? Thanks. I couldn't find this as a topic on the forum.

Is it that the touchbar leds don’t work, or that they just don’t show?
You could try installing a touchbar replacement like better touch tool or Pock to see if it’s a mechanical or software fault?
If hardware, I think it’s a genius appointment and a new topcase.

how would I install the replacement?

Sorry -

I mean a replacement APP, sorry - not a hardware replacement. pretty sure if there’s a hardware problem only Apple can sort it, because it’s all linked to the security chip in the power button.

Yes, do you have a link for me to download the app?

Apple says it's a repair. I'll get it taken care of when Covid dies down. I have until July 2021 to get it done before my AC+ expires.
