This is a weird one. I reset my SMC earlier today and now my macbook can't boot. I can see apple logo, but not the loading bar. It may blink red, show a red line on screen (horizontally) or as most of the time it just simply dies & chimes again.

I've tried PRAM/NVRAM reset, SMC reset, etc.

Can't boot into:
internet recovery (loads the internet recovery, but dies when the globe disappears)
recovery (just dies before it loads)
single-user mode (just dies before anything happens on screen)
safe mode (just dies before anything happens on screen)
bootable big sur install usb (just dies before anything happens on screen)

Pressing alt/option during boot shows a picture just fine until I select ANY drive, then it just dies (EXCEPT!! Ubuntu 20.04 loads just fine and works, except... *read on*)

Also target disk mode doesn't work, SSD is unmountable, since T2 or something something... Disk and partitions show up just fine.

Can boot:
Live Ubuntu 20.04 from USB (This can also see the SSD, but can't mount it since it's APFS, also WLAN, trackpad & keyboard doesn't work in ubuntu, but power button does.)

Any ideas?

I can't get any verbose output in boot, computer just dies and rings the chime again.

Don't know if this is any useful, but i9 2.3GHz, 16GB, 1TB, 5500M 4G, Big Sur 11.1.

I would very much appreciate if you wouldn't just tell me to take it to the apple store, that's my last resort.

Well, sounds to me like you're getting pretty close to "last resort" time.
Take it to an Apple Store and perhaps they can figure out what's preventing it from booting...

I fixed my issue using DFU repair with Apple Configurator 2 and a 2014 Macbook Pro. It is solvable without apple store visit.
