I'm looking for some possible answers to my problem with my iMac. I upgraded from an older iMac that allowed audio to my Logitech Z5500 controller using the headphone port. Now I understand Apple has disabled this and I'm unable to connect via this any longer. I purchased the Behringer UCA202 under the impression this would work. However, I'm still unable to hear any sound.

I have the setup as follows:

iMac > UCA202 connected via USB > Logitech Controller connected via SPDIF (Logitech controller) to headphone jack of the UCA202.

Has anyone successfully connected their speakers to the new iMac using this method? Should I attempt to do a SPDIF to SPDIF connector instead? Have you used something else to have this work? I'd rather not lose out on using my speakers and buy new ones when these work perfectly.

Did you check the Audio/MIDI setup utility to see that the Behringer is "recognized" and selected...?

Figured out the Behringer didn't like the SPDIF to headphone jack connection. I ordered a SPDIF to SPDIF and it's golden. Back in business. So, I 100% recommend the UCA202.
