I have the fans going full speed and the machine getting hot.

Yes. The website is pretty bad as it causes between 20-40% CPU load when idle in Chrome, and 10-30% when idle in Safari.

German car makers must all use the same software. Their sites are trash. Perhaps they work with Windows. Odd marketing to leave out a group that probably has higher per capita disposable income.

I have no idea what Ray is talking about here. But I think k it’s just how their sites are coded by their webmaster.

Honestly Intel chips just tend to run hot and maybe their website has some very legacy code that just invigorates something within the Intel cpu. I get this on my 2017 MBP 13” as well btw.

OP, maybe it’s a hint of inefficiencies that’ll also come with the car you’re looking at above? Hmmm something to pontificate.
