Hello!

I had been using a 2011 27" iMac that I bought from a friend who was no longer using it. This was my first iMac and I enjoyed using it so much that when it died a few weeks ago (separate post on that...), I splashed out on a brand new one.

I got the basic model (3.1ghz i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD). This is more than enough really for what I'm using it for, but I did want to upgrade the RAM just to keep things running a little bit smoother when I've lots of apps open etc.

I found these options: https://www.mrmemory.co.uk/memory-ram-upgrades/apple/imac/retina-5k-27-inch-mid-2020-3.1ghz-core-i5

I'm thinking of getting 2 x 16GB modules which will boost me to 40GB RAM total. The price seems reasonable to me when compared to what apple charge for RAM!

Have any UK based iMac owners here used mrmemory before?

Thanks!
