Hi folks,

Would like to get the 2020 iPad Pro 12.9" and currently have a dock (see link below) that I'd like to reuse. I haven't been able to find anything online regarding compatibility - does anyone have any experience? Thanks.

Well, wouldn’t you believe but picked up this dock for work the other day.

Tried it with the iPad for you..works a charm!

Yip, its indeed connected via USB-C. No problem, also tested inserting a USB drive and headphones; also works without issues. Can confirm it charges the ipad too. It's a great dock actually. My displays are ancient 24" and connected using the the two Display ports.

Does the dock needs to be always connected to the power supply?
If not, can you confirm that the dock is draining the iPad’s battery?

As expected, can confirm that the dock needs power for it to work. The power supply is the usual Lenovo rectangular connectors so someone in the office/work will have one! :)

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad USB-C Dock which has a version 40AF. iPad Pro 2020 isn't working with the displays. Rest of the USB devices work, just not the displays. I tried both the HDMI ports and the DisplayPorts. I think you are using gen 2 of the dock (version 40AS). Can you please confirm? You can find the version if you flip over the dock.

USB That Works between Lenovo USB-C Dock 40AF and iPad Pro 12.9 2020
Mouse - Logitech MX Anywhere 2S
Keyboard - Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic
Headphones - Logitech H800 Wireless and test another logitech wired

What Doesn't Work between Lenovo USB-C Dock 40AF and iPad Pro 12.9 2020
USB Camera - Logitech 1080p
DisplayPort - Tried 3 different monitors (HP 27" 1080p, Dell 24" 1080p, another old monitor)
HDMI - Tried all three monitors

I haven't tried any USB storage thru the dock yet.

If what I am reading correctly, my dock is the 40A9 which is part of the serial number? My model number is DK1633. All items work great. Too great as I'd rather trickle charge my IPP.

Hi'
I'm trying to set up an Ipad Pro with a Lenovo USB-C (and Thunderbolt) dock. The dock is version 2 40AN. It shows as "Thinkpad Thunderbolt dock" but I'm not able to get display to either of my Dell monitors through Display Ports.
Any suggestion?
