From day 1, my 2020 M1 MBA has had an annoying issue - when I wake it from sleep, the trackpad is flaky for about the first 1-2 minutes. Tracking is very uneven (it jumps and pauses). It will register taps that I haven't made. And it will sometimes fail to register taps that I have. It is basically unusable. Keyboard seems to be unaffected. Notably this does not occur after reboot (cold or warm), nor after 'deep' sleep (machine has been asleep for more than a few hours). It always clears up after a few minutes.

Because of the correlation with sleep (and the fact that it always clears up after a few minutes), I figured it was a software issue, but updates from Big Sur (11.2) to Monterey (12.3 and later 12.4) have made no difference. I do not have any third-party extensions installed.

Any ideas?
