Just wanted to share my current configuration for my Intel based Mac mini. I have used this as a replacement for my 21 iMac Retina and its working very well. Having the ability to move the monitor height is a strong advantage over the iMac (if you have the 27")

  • Mac mini (2018), i7 3.2Ghz - purchased summer 2020
  • LG 32UL950-W 32
  • Ergotron LX Arm
  • OWC 1TB Envoy Pro USB C (1 drive for data, 2nd drive for Time Machine)
  • Bose Soundlink Revolve Speaker wired to the headphone port of the Mac mini.
  • Display is scaled to 3008 x 1292

OK? Good for you. Are you happy with this or not? Are you consider upgrade to M1 Mac mini? I have the Mac mini 2020 one as well, though I only brought the base configuration.

its working well and negates that need to use my iMac 21 retina. Maybe over the summer I would consider moving the the M1 mini but at this time I have no limits with the current infrastructure.
