Hi.

I was doing a mac update and while the machine was doing its thing, I saw a couple of white “dead” cells on the black background.

But after restarting and rebooting, the “dead” cells are no longer there.

Is this an impending sign of cells dying or dying soon ?

Has anyone else experience this or know of this issue. Your sharing appreciated.

Thanks

It is not as common on LCD screens like Retina, but it is possible. It is a sign of dying pixels, unfortunately. I would recommend leaving it turned off for a while at full charge before trying it again. Might be just a weird power thing. But if it isn't you might get a couple of dead pixels on the screen. I hope it is still usable.

Hi. Thanks for your reply

I have turned the computer on and off a few times. The dead cells are no longer there; or at least no longer seen.

I just hope it’s not a sign of dying cells.

I hope the same. If they come back after you do anything, please come back to this thread and post another reply to keep us updated!

seems ok today as well. No further signs of dead pixels.

Has anyone else experienced this ?
