Not good. Make sure it's not a returned computer. There are no assembly lines outside of China.

The default configs are build in China shipped from the US. Mine is coming from RIALTO, CA US.

Apple has a warehouse there. If you return a Mac bought from Apple, that’s one of the places where returns are sent.

If it’s returned opened, then it is resold as refurbished. Apple doesn’t sell open box as new.

Anybody with UPS experience know if you can schedule a package to be picked up at the ups facility instead‘ve dropped off at your address? I know fedex does this but I haven’t received a ups package in a decade.

I live in the Bronx New York and I hate how risky ups and fedex deliveries are.
