2020 MBP Battery swelling?

Just wanted to give an update. Got my MacBook pro back from apple today.

We were unable to reproduce your issue(s)
Our technicians performed comprehensive testing and could not reproduce the issue(s) you reported. Your product passed every diagnostic and extended test we performed.

So that's that. I guess the bottom case just popped out for whatever reason. At least I have peace of mind now.

I assume the bottom is now flat? If so, perhaps it was a screw up during assembly and they re-seated it. Better safe than sorry.

the bottom was always flat, it was the sides that popped open, and snapped back closed when handling them. Not sure why they popped open to begin with 🤷‍♂️
