I have the 12 Pro and have been comparing the signal strength to my kids 2020 SE's, which always have more signal strength and never drop calls, while my 12 Pro drops calls several times per day. Anyone have similar experience or suggestions? Thanks in advance...

I just had a replacement iPhone 12 Pro sent to me from Verizon for this exact issue. I saw on other forums that iPhone 12's have been droppings calls for whatever reason.

It could be a few things:

1) Verizon 5G network and interference when switching between 4G LTE and 5G - can't really fix this issue
2) SIM card doesn't switch to 5G well - call Verizon to have SIM replaced
3) iPhone 12 5G antenna is lacking or defective in your phone - call Verizon to have phone replaced
