Noticed what looked like a drop shadow on my screen as soon as I powered it up. Thought it may just be how these new iPads are coming from the 10.5 Pro. Seems like it’s “a thing”

Will keep an eye on things…

Here we go. Love this stuff :D

Then there will be the returns to get one 'right'. But that may be tricky now considering no ones knows what 'right' is (maybe shadow free?).

You will after 10 returns I imagine.

can you take a pic of what yours looks like? curious
It’s hard to get it to show on camera I tried but it doesn’t look right, trust me there is an issue and people won’t be happy I wish I didn’t sell my last years one now

Ugh. I ordered two 2021 12.9" iPads, and will determine what I can accept between the two.

If displays are uneven or shadowy, they are going directly back.

Apple can't charge these extreme prices and deliver sub-par displays. Sorry, not sorry.
I’ve started to give up on apple now, they always over hype every product and the youtubers never speak the truth, this screen is a massive downgrade because of this, the glass feels like it’s much higher than the screen looks horrible

The Mini-LED has its issues. I regret selling my 12.9" 2018 with superb display. The 12.9" 2020 can’t match it, only the 11" 2020 are equal.

I have a hunch that display issues are not universal. There seem to be a lot effected units though. I’m picking up my 12.9” today and this has taken the excitement out of me some. I’d cancel my order, but my 10.5” iPad Pro has not been cutting it for months and I decided long ago that 12.9” is right for me. So, I go previous model with unsatisfying discounts or new model with potential issues. I have the return period to make my final decision.

Just see what happens can't hurt.

I was beginning to get bummed from the yellow screen thread for 12 pro piling up while I was waiting for delivery, thinking I would be repulsed upon unboxing, and I've been through panel lottery hell with some iterations, but I hit the jackpot and got a display I'm still elated with.

I'm trying to not break it for dear life. and I have a 30 month financing plan that made it $199 with bill credits, after trading in an eBay iPhone 8 base model,

I think iPhone 12S/13 will be a skip for me!

Its not that bad as the images showing above, at least not for me. But yes if you have a black background and draw a line the pixels around will be brighter and not black like on OLED. Its more obvious the higher the brightness.
