Hello friends,

I’m hoping someone else is experiencing this issue with their M1 iMac. I bought my wife a yellow M1 iMac last year as a work from home machine. The color-matched accessories are lovely, but the Magic Mouse refuses to stay connected. While the keyboard has no issues maintaining connection throughout sleep to wake, the mouse disconnects and won’t reconnect without a reboot. When the mouse is plugged in via Lighting, the System Prefs Bluetooth pane recognizes it as “Connected - Charging” but as soon as we unplug it, it goes straight to “Not Connected” I have tried unpairing and repairing the mouse, the M1 is running the latest macOS version.

I’ve never had this issue with any other machine. I’m thinking it may be an issue with the Magic Mouse itself, but wondering if anyone else has seen an issue like this on their M1 system?

I realize my suggestion will not solve the wireless connection problem, but...

What happens if you just leave the mouse "plugged in" all the time?
Will it still work that way for you?

Another (probably useless) suggestion:
Have you ever thought of a non-Apple mouse, such as the excellent Logitech mice...?

Sadly Apple designed the mouse to not function when it’s upside down and plugged in ?
