2021 MBP Battery Cycles When New

I picked up my 2021 MBP 14-inch earlier today. I was looking around system information and noticed that my battery already has 7 cycles on it.

For others that got a new machine, how many cycles do you have? (Apple Icon > About This Mac > System Report > Power > Cycle Count)
 
The cycle count on my new 14 inch MBP is 4, but it has been both plugged in and used on battery a fair bit today…
 
Mine 16inch has also already 7 cycles when I unwrapped it, is that really normal? Anyone contacted Apple Service about that?
 
3 cycles. I remember reading that some of them get additional QC tests that can lead to different charge levels/cycle count.

Well that’s not true. My 2019 16” had 0. My 2021 has 3. However, I have noticed my new 16” has been behaving really well in terms of accumulating new cycles (as in, it hasn’t - while plugged in). My 2019 16” accumulated 75 cycles since July last year, despite being plugged into the same Thunderbolt hub and 5K monitor 99.9% of the time. By this time of ownership it would have been on ~2 cycles.
 
Mine is showing 14 cycles, which seems high. My M1 Air had 0 when I received it. Perhaps this is a reporting error that will be fixed in a software update.

With 14 cycles I would be worried that I am not the first owner so I would return it.
 
Got a 16" which had 7 or 8 cycles already but I didn't pay it much mind when I first saw it. I guess it's higher than usual based on this thread, but I haven't seen any issues so far so I don't think it's a big deal.
 
My battery health on my 16" m1 is already at 97% which is confusing.

I’ve had a couple of mbps and both came with a few cycles on the battery presumably from the QC testing before it’s installed in the computer.
