These are my wishlist for the iPhone 15 Pro Max (or Ultra)

- Apple-designed 5G modem
- 3nm process
- A17 Bionic
- 8,700 mAh battery for nearly 2 weeks battery
- option to keep Low Power Mode ON without it being reset when fully charged
- 7.2"/180mm non-foldable display
- 13mm thickness to accommodate the larger mAh battery
- 256GB storage
- less than 350g to accommodate the larger mAh battery
- option to manually turn off 2G & 3G for 4G & 5G-only to save battery & reduce security profile
- eSIM only to force my telco to email me my eSIM
- USB4 40Gbps port
- More than 30W fast charging through USB4
- Fast charging 0-50% in 29 mins & 0-100% in 119 mins
- Slow charging 0-100% in 8hrs at 5W
- No MagSafe to save weight
- $1,199 MSRP because a larger iPhone necessitates a higher price

Why 2023? Because my 24 month contract ends when the 2023 iPhone comes.

I would like to see Apple Start using solid state batteries. It would be like getting a 10,000 mAh battery without adding extra weight or increasing the thickness of the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Interesting read on solid state batteries.

And this is pretty cool development.

USB C
No camera bump
All under screen camera/sensors

None of this will happen.

Frontal sensors much reduced/under screen and Touch ID under screen.
Stop the weight gain of the iPhone Pro models.
Some way to make the camera lenses on the back more "elegant."
256GB base model storage so I can save $100.
Better battery life is always appreciated.
Unifying to USB-C would be nice as a Mac user.
An Apple 5G modem that is better than Qualcomm. Do not want an Apple modem inferior to Qualcomm like Intel in the iPhone X!

- 10x camera
- No notch/punch hole
- Smaller bezels
- Matte side finish on Pros
- Long distance flashlight

Reduced or eliminated notch
USB-C (probably won’t happen at all)
Better battery life
Fast Charging (probably won’t happen yet)
Always on Display (probably won’t happen yet)
More color choices on the Pro Max models
Schedule messages and ability to edit messages (more of a software thing)

With Apple we’ll be lucky to get one or two of those features.

Fast Charging (probably won’t happen yet)

Why is this thread relevant MR?
Anyway, haven’t we all been wishing for stuff that never arrives or just years later than expected? Good list, but with it I hope you’re braced to be disappointed, like I’ve been the last 5 years ?
The Low Power thing can be done with Shortcuts by the way, just create an automation that turns it on when the phone is disconnected from a charger. And to safe on battery health, create the antidote so it turns off when connected to a charger/ask if you want to turn it off or not.

Why not reach for the sky and wish for a 458ppi LCD display? Although OLED is superior and no PWM would be preferable.
Some people can’t use OLEDs because they are too sensitive to how the display refreshes and “produces” brightness.

Yeah no, I am just curious why this thread is featured on the MR front page. Not that it’s the least interesting, but really, to feature a post talking about castles in the sky ain’t healthy ?

Praise be the Algorithm

People come here to talk tech so why not future tech?

I saw a number of great ideas by other users like solid state batteries. I'd love someone to tell me why it isnt rolled out yet.

Someone didnt like the 13mm thickness that solid state batteries would solve by being ~2.5x more mAh a 13 Pro Max's current physical battery size.

I just want nearly 15 days of stand by time based on my use case. I am sure others would have it longer.

Because economy of scale. Apple could have included ProMotion on the iPhone 12 Pro’s, if they could have gotten their hands on the amount of panels they needed at a certain price.
Solid State ain’t coming for at least 2 more years I guess.
Also, no MagSafe isn’t future tech… it’s the past. Apple won’t roll back this early and just to safe 2.5g or whatever it is, especially if the future is no ports and MagSafe/Smart Connectors only.
Cellular network selection won’t get more manual control than it already has either, cuz Uncle Apple knows best.
See, most things you’re talking about aren’t more than wishes, that’s what I take “issue” with. The signs of what’s coming are rather clear, and they indicate nothing (exactly) of what you’re looking for for ‘23. It’s just hoping and wishing just to be let down on Keynote day, it’s been this way, it is this way and will stay this way for some time.
Surely Apple is working on great and “Apple Magic” stuff, but, don’t hold to see it when you want to see it. That just ain’t healthy for ya.

Also, I’m not convinced that an algorithm pinned this thread. If there was one, there should be a slew of other threads pinned, too, that have more and different engagement. But I could be wrong about this, what do I know about algorithms.

Personally, I wish ProMotion wasnt part of any iPhone. I have it and I turn it off jut because its power-draining fluff.

Title of this thread is "wishlist" I wish it be gone.

Apple removed the 3.5mm headphone jack to save on the alleged 2.5g weight of MagSafe.

Most recent version of Android has the option to manually turn off certain frequencies

The "issue" I see here is that you have more free time than I do.

iPhone Mini with TouchID (like iPad Mini 6 or under the screen), bigger battery, headphone jack, 8GB memory and 128GB storage.

Definitely-
MagSafe increases the weight of iPhones a lot. Glass back vs aluminum (which is also much more fragile) and the coils inside.
