No wonder, half of the categories seem to be woke-agenda-politics driven.

Remember when we had categories like „Best Mac OS X Scientific Computing Solution“?

The categories don’t really say anything at all about what the apps are. Inclusivity is for an accessible navigation app, the other one is for a kids' coloring game. Neither one seem to be making any major statements.

This list says more about how hard it is to highlight good software on the App Store than anything.

I don’t mean to pile on here, but the categories for these apps are almost completely useless to me. When I first saw the title, I thought perhaps there might be, oh I don’t know, categories like “productivity“ or something like that. The the categories might apply to an app that could do practically anything or doesn’t do anything at all. I use my iPad Pro for at least some of my work, and was hoping for something a little more informative than this vague list that is almost useless. I guess I’m not the target demographic.

ditto. Maybe I’m just an old prude, but making a room or coloring just doesn’t strike me as award winning. Like you, I’m not the target audience either.

I wish people who wanted to connect notes and reminders and calendars for, as you said productivity, were the target audience.

Instead we have a reminders app that is for me hardly useable. But it’s okay because drumroll… we have Memoji and other like things.

if apple wanted to give some soul to the devices they should bring back an aqua like interface, not make me look like a cartoon.

My problem with the new Apps that have been accorded awards is just how many ways they track every bit of your data… $$$
