No surprise considering the spec of the entry level M3 MacBook Pro. I think we have to wait for M4 before we start to see perhaps 12GB or 16GB RAM options as standard on entry models. But with Cook and Apple finance calling the shots, I wouldn’t hold my breath on that either.

Meh, my lifestyle only needs the base model these days. I use cloud storage for almost everything so it’s basically a Chromebook for me. All my work is done at work.

If Apple bumps up the base model specs then cool but at this point in my life it wouldn’t get used. I would rather upgrade every 1-2yrs than pay for more parts and not get any value back from Apple when I trade it in. Been there done that.

If Apple made a legit 2-in-1 iPad Pro I would never have a MacBook.

Rubbish, everyone needs more than 8/256. Everyone.

I could walk you through my day but I only use my laptop 1-2 times a day and it’s for YouTube while everyone else is sleeping or browsing the internet cause my iPhone is too small or I need a desktop browser.

Everything else I do is either on the TV or phone. All my work has to be done in the office. So tell me why my use case NEEDS more than 8/256?

I was being facetious. Everyone should make an informed decision when purchasing a computer and buy the one that fits their needs the best.
