I actually think it would be rather relaxing if I knew they were going to get me out. I mean your in one of the worlds biggest cities stuck in a wonderes cube at night time. I would want to do that on purpose!

They should have demand free MacBooks:D for the time and embrassment of being stuck in an elevator.

The elevator itself was manufactured before the release of the Intel processors in the Macs, so it actually ran in the Apple Store under Rosetta. Unfortunately, Rosetta crashed and caused this malfunction.

Until you remembered about that huge Coke you drank an hour or so ago while out and about.

Or at least an iPod.

Hmm...David Blaine should do something like that. Just stand, stuck, in an Apple Store elevator for 3 weeks. Its ingenious!
...and we could fill it with water. Maybe he'll actually break the record this time.

who would complain being stuck in an apple store? oh well, at least they get iPods! everyone loves ipods! by the way, rockthecasbah, it was 45 min, not 5 hours.

i realize that. I'm saying people above said they would have demanded MacBooks and i would have been plenty happy for much longer than the 45 with an iPod...

that story is quite funny (except for the folks who got burned while getting out). i'm surprised they weren't offered anything for their trouble - seems quite rude for the store manager to not give anything to them...

This man is not impressed.

Since the store is below ground, I think Apple should install a glass slide.

I'd also like a giant clear plastic gerbil ball for customers to run around the store in. They could hold drawings, place Apple store employees they don't like in it and boot them down the stairs. Whoever emerges from this ordeal conscious wins a free MacBook.

Good times.

I wonder if anybody sneaked some blurry pictures of forthcoming Apple kit while they were in there.
I wanted to do that one... I guess it was too obvious. :D

I'm surprised they didn't offer some small token to the people that were trapped. Not a computer or iPod or anything, but maybe a $10 giftcard to the iTMS?
