Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

I have a quick question: can the current base model 21.5" iMac be used as an external display for a PC rig? My roomate has a gaming PC and was curious if with the Mini display to HDMI adapter he could use my iMac as a monitor. Is this possible?

Nope. Only 2011+ Thunderbolt equipped Macs can feed into the iMac as an external display.

There's a program called ScreenRecycler that does this through your network, not HDMI, but it's only for Mac I think.

That would be terrible for games wouldn't it?

Ah, definitely. I didn't notice he wanted to use it for gaming.
