I believe the main products used for this (kanex xd, atlona, belkin av360 and Dr Bot) only work on the 27".

Correct me if I am wrong anyone?

I'm pretty sure it's a one way connection on the 21.5 where the 27" is a two way or it has it's own input, not sure since I haven't looked at the backside of a 27" yet.
