21.5inch iMac RAM

Simple question - can you upgrade the RAM yourself on the latest 21.5 inch models?

You can if you open the computer and dismantle it.

Yes. if you’re handy, follow the iFixIt and OWC tutorials.

If not, leave it alone or pay someone to do it.

Not on the 2014/2015 models, however you can do it on the 2017/2019 models - but these require taking the logic board out.

OP:

Do you have the ability and confidence to almost completely disassemble the iMac?

If so, you can change out the RAM.

If not, the answer to your simple question is... "no".

I believe doing this yourself voids the warranty... I would check into that... I got the 27 inch partially for that reason... hatch on back for easy ram install.
