Yes but you need 150$ adapter and it only gets you 720p. You're better off getting a 3rd party monitor

What MBP and Sony TB do you have? You will likely need Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter

The above is the primary reason why the ACDs are good only for connecting macs. For any other varied uses, other monitors would be better.
