Depends what you want out of a monitor, Apple monitors are "ok", but depending on what you're going to do with it there are monitors which provide better performance.

I just want a bigger screen to go with my MBA 13". I love the design of these and have always been awed by them. Is this a good price on these?

They die rather quickly. Backlights go out and bad circuitry. Only the 24" for some reason. 27" has no issues to speak of. FYI.

Well I have made up my mind to get one of these - now do you all think this is a good price? I've looked online and everywhere is $600-$700.

For a 24"? The 24" sucks. As mentioned they die quickly. Now this doesn't mean it happens to 100% of them, but the failure rate is not so good. You could get a newer 24" from another brand with a warranty for less money. Considering a thunderbolt display is $850 in the refurbished store, $600-700 for the old 24" is ridiculous. They're asking too much because it's Apple.
