I mainly web surf, check email, do some iTunes importing and exporting (to the iPod), the standard apps suite (NeoOffice) light digital photography touch-ups (iPhoto mostly). Nothing major in the apps category, just the basic day-to-day apps.

No games, nothing seriously graphics-intensive. Oh, and I have Vista running under Parallels, in full-screen mode.

I just discovered my 24" iMac refurb actually has the 7600GT installed, so that makes this even more of a bargain :)

I believe that the 24" iMac has an upgradable graphics card, it uses a mini pci express port, so should be upgradable in the future, though the tech is currently new, though the Tech Spec's on Apple.com don't point to it, so I may be wrong.

EDIT: See this on engadget for details.

Definitelty go for it then. :)

Yes, the 24" iMac has a PC laptop form factor video card. In theory, it can be upgraded with any other card using the same form factor. This means that Apple could, if they were so inclined, release an upgrade kit for the iMac (say, to a Radeon X1900XT  ). However, at the moment only the GeForce 7300GT and GeForce 7600GT exist in this form factor for the Mac. Still, owners of the current 24" iMac may have some options in the future, even if they are simply other OEM cards that won't be available retail.
