I've been having this problem since last year with my iMac. It appears that programs are leaving basically burning themselves into my screen. I can see the lines from programs on the screen that were open when the programs aren't open anymore. I have AppleCare but if I take it in to an Apple store and they switch out the screens with a new one won't the problem keep coming back even with a new screen?
