24" iMac value

I am looking to get rid of my 24" iMac. I am looking to go with a High-end Macbook or Low-end MacBook Pro. My iMac is a 24" screen. 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4MB of Cache,3GB OF RAM, 300GB HDD 7200 RPM. Front side Bus of 800MHz. Superdrive, Bluetooth, Airposrt Extreme. The downer is it is 2 months out of warranty. How much on EBAY do you think I can get for this bc I know eBay always charges more to pay off the fees and also what do you think i could sell for at my local craigslist.

You can do an advanced search on ebay and look just at completed transactions - that will give you an idea of what people are getting for them there.

$875 - $1000 depending on where you sell it

...give it away for the tax write off and help out someone less fortunate than yourself...or keep it and just get the MB...

I think 875-1000 is alittle low, I was looking to get like $1100 on craigslist.

The tax write off, I cant file taxes yet so that doesn't help me at all. I am only 15 and if I did use it as a tax write off and my parents claim it then I dont have the cash to buy a new computer...
