Is there a post-factory upgrade to the 128mb video card that comes standard with the 24 inch iMac? That is to say...can I buy an iMac now and in three weeks order up a 256mb video card and install the puppy?

Thanks!

Los Angeles.
In theory it is possible... but then you'd have to find a way to access the slot, find an OEM dealer to create a specially made chip, and probably void your warranty while in the process.

So it's looking grim =(

Well they must make replacement 256mb cards for the iMacs they send out with the 7600's....Can they be put into the same slot the 128mb one would go into?

Yes they make them, but unless Apple starts selling them individually, or you find someone who wants to trade the one they got in their iMac for yours, you're not buying one anytime soon.
