24 inch iMac mic

Is 24 inch iMac's mic is enough good for skype? Sound quality will be great or it's strongly recomended to buy external mic/headset?

I don't know about the 24" iMac, but my dad has a 20" iMac and we do iChat AV all the time - him just using the iMac mic and it works very well for us.

I use mine for Skype. I've not been on the other end of it, but family members seem to have no problem when the connection is good.
