After a years wait the new season of 24 is soon upon us. Hopefully they can save the series as season 6 was a dud.
Filmed on location in Cape Town, South Africa, and Los Angeles, 24: REDEMPTION stars Emmy Award winner Kiefer Sutherland along with Cherry Jones, Robert Carlyle, Gil Bellows and Jon Voight.

After sacrificing everything for his country, Jack Bauer is wanted by the U.S. government and now stands to lose the only thing he has left: his freedom. Working as a missionary in Africa, Bauer is called upon to stop a ruthless warlord from drafting innocent children into his murderous militia. First, Bauer must confront his own torturous past and face an impossible decision that will change his life forever. A decision that will set the stage and raise the stakes for Season Seven, which debuts in January 2009.
As always, may contain spoilers.

For reference, Season 6, Season 5

Looks good. Can't remember when it will be shown in the UK, I think Sky One covers it.

Problem is they always have a twist that is so obvious, this year Tony will really be a good guy, or something like that....

I am too in fact i have started watching all 6 seasons again, currently up to season 2. (George Mason has just crashed the plane) , can't wait for it here in australia. Come on, season 6 wasn't that bad! All the pieces are put together about who orchestrated palmers death etc.

Wasn't there some sort of Episode that bridges season 6 and 7 together?

5 and 6 were kinda bridged. Season 6 had to any open plot holes that went unanswered. It has been a year since a new episode of 24.

24:Redemption, which airs on November 23rd in the U.S., is a two-hour movie event that bridges the gap between Season 6 and 7. Season 7 will commence in January.
That is how they are working it? I thought it was going to be a 2 hour head start.

Ok I get it now. 24:Redemption.

I actually found season 6 extremely intense. It was the first season of 24 I watched so I guess that's probably why. I've been so excited about season 7 and I can't wait for Redemption Day. 11.23.08.

You need to go back and watch 3, 4, and 5.

That you do!! Specially when tony comes and saves jack and audrey from a shoot out. - I guess i am waiting till the 23rd for redemption having said that, in season 7 isn't tony back as a Villian? and is Mary Lynn Rajskub in it too?

Pre season begins tonight. As a reminder watch out for spoilers.

I have missed bad ass Jack.

First flaw, Sprint phones don't work in Africa.:p

When will the bad guys learn, the only way to get rid of Jack is to kill him. He will never tell you where the kids are.

anyone notice that the new president is a hilary look-alike?

hmm, maybe a little

I seriously hate the year wait between seasons. Damages, a really great new show on FX also has waited an entire year to come back. I don't get it. Though Damages is worth waiting for. 24 ... how many times will Jack Bauer die and I hope he ditches the man bag!

24 was delayed because of the writers strike.

Argh I hate the silent clock.

I really like where this season is going. We have the bad guys set and the conspiracy.

Pretty intense can't wait till January i wonder what will happen to jack. Do you think the new president is corrupt already

also because of his DWI

Do you think the new president is corrupt already

of course...

also because of his DWI

he turned himself in after they halted production due to the writer's strike, and they were behind schedule at the time of the strike. and talking about strikes, do you think that if the actors go on strike, 24 will be delayed again?

and who saw the preview for day 7? no more ctu? this is going to need a bunch of explaining, and it's going to be a good thrill ride...

When they were writing season 7 last year they had to rewrite the whole story because they didn't like the original script. That pushed back the start of shooting into August. When the writers strike hit they only had 10 or so episodes filmed. Fox didn't want to start the season only to have to stop halfway through so they decided to skip the whole season.

ahhh makes sense for him to do that....
How do you see this season stacking up against the others? I think this ones has a lot of questions heading into it.
