I loved the first action segment of last night's show, resulting in the Jack vs. Robocop interaction. Great TV there.

It'll be nice to have 24 outside of LA next season. This whole Chinese thing opens so many doors for the writers. It doesn't HAVE to do with terrorism anymore. Now...what am I going to do with LOST ending tomorrow and the NFL season not starting for another 3 months :( :( :(

Watch the Sopranos of course!

I wasnt highly impressed with this season of 24, i agree with the poster that said why would jack go in to an abondoned building to answer a call when they have all the secret mobile tech etc. I felt like the ending was rushed and they spent a lot of time overdeveloping the presidential fault plot, 24 still reamins my 2nd favorite TV show (Sopranos being #1), hopefully next season has more to impress than this one.

Edit: Entourage Starts in a few weeks too!!!

Ok how does Audrey have the authority to summon fighter jets, Isn't the President the only one who has that ability?

She doesn't. And no, he isn't.

She contacted the dude... hell, I can't remember his title/rank, but he was a Navy dude. The one that played the guy on 'Seinfeld' who George thought looked like Sugar Ray Leonard.

I knew I recognized him from somewhere! I love the ending of that seinfeld episode, I wish I could say the same about 24.

I like what someone said about the writers having so many more options now. I felt the past 2 seasons have been very repetitive with the same types of things happening. It would nice to see 24 do something completely new.

My guess is that next year's season will involve Jack stopping the "terrorists!!"

My guess is that next year's season will involve Jack trying to escape from an off books/ covert Chinese prison.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but is anyone else enjoying watching these episodes again on Fridays. Im able to watch without the stress factor and I'm picking up some small details I missed.

Well they just started screening them here (we're only up to 2 or 3pm so far  ) a few weeks ago and I must say this is one of the better seasons IMO.

Do you think that Chloe and her ex will play a bigger role next season, Say Chloe going rogue agent to China.

Just finished watching season 5 this weekend and loved it. Pretty epic!

And it looks like Milo will indeed feature more in season 6;

Aint It Cool

What's the betting that Logan breaks down and says he gave Jack to the Chinese, then it's the much anticipated 24 hour escape session...

Edited. Milo was nothing to do with Chloe...

Shouldn't someone start the 24 Season 6 thread:cool:

Nah it's too early. There's no genuine Season 6 stuff to go on other than the Milo Pressman confirmation. It'll be time soon though :)

Wow that first one, the prequel, looks really good for a homemade.

The second one is more clearly a mash up of the previous seasons.

Except the guy who played 'Andre Drazen' is with Aaron in the helicopter. I'm looking forward to the real season six prequel.

Since when was Milo Chloe's ex? Milo was season one, Chloe appeared in season three.

Edited, I go the character names mixed - Morris/Milo. Yet to watch season 1 & 2.

I'm so proud of starting this one. :p

So 24 wins Emmys for best Director, lead actor, and best drama series.:)

The also one some one or two last night for the creative side... I think it was like theme song and another thing I think.

When does Season 6 start?

So it's still too early to start a season 6 thread, but a lot of deatails about the comming season are begining to surface. James Cromwell is Jacks dad. Wayne Palmer is President and the series jumps ahead 2 years again. So is it technically 2010 in the story now?

Oh and I don't think anyone should be starting a season 6 thread until that counter hits 0 in 3 days.

I've said it before, and I'll stick by it until proven wrong that Jack will not be "rescued" from the Chinese. If he escapes, he will continue to be hunted until he's either a)recaptured or b)dead. So if he's not dead (ie: the series doesn't end) he's recaptured and we're right back where we started.

So I assume then, that there's only one way out of the current story line and that is prisoner exchange. Think about it. The US gov't (or rogue CTU) gives a high-level Chinese terrorist in exchange for Jack. After the exchange, we find out that there's already a plot in place with said terrorist taking the lead. So Jack comes back and saves the day. While being freed from pursuit of the Chinese gov't. This scenario establishes the plot for Season 6 while creating a way for Jack not to have to worry about the Chinese.

Either that, or the season will start with the exchange already having taken place sometime between Seasons 5 and 6. But I'm sure that we'll get some details as to how it went down and what has happened in the past 2 years.

OK, that's several posts (some have been removed) with the same "24 Season 6" countdown link. Let's just assume people can click on it themselves - we don't need any more updates, K?

FOX in HD?

I've been told by a local home theater store employee that a federal mandate exists requiring FOX and all other network broadcasts to offer HD (everywhere?) by the end of this year. Does anyone know if this is correct?

I live in Springfield, MO and have Mediacom HD cable. Right now the only networks we have in HD are NBC and ABC. I've called Mediacom and they're clueless... but does anyone know if FOX (and CBS) is required to offer HD by January?

We got lucky when they added ABC just in time for LOST... now I need FOX for 24!

Are you sure he wasn't talking about over the air broadcasts and not cable. The mandate is now 2009, but it used to be sometime around this year. At least that was what I read in an article 6 years ago. I don't think the FCC has any control over cable.
And I apologize for the pointless multiple posts.
