24 inch owners, does it make sense to own a 16" and 24" for home use? I do a lot of document work and like to limit moving my head around. It would be nice to have 2 docs open on one space with maybe more vertical room. I find that a wider display forces one to look side to side if two documents are open in one space. Is the 24" more practical? I currently use a 16" raised to eye level and like to look directly at teh center without moving my head but often crave a bigger display above 4k so that I can look at sharp text. thanks

I don't have a 16" so I can't compare but I will say that with my 24" iMac I don't feel the need to turn my head when viewing documents side by side. I often have Excel and Word docs or a webpage open to reference information and it seems fine for me. Before my iMac I had a Mac mini with a 32" Samsung 1080P curved monitor and I felt it was too wide to focus on the screen without moving my head. I think that's what you're asking. You can always go to an Apple Store and play with one of the display models and see how it feels.

Went from a MacBook with external 27” 4K monitor to iMac 24” 4,5K. Love it. More resolution to work more efficiently but smaller and perfect at 50-70cm distance.

See my response to your post in the 27 vs 24 iMac thread in terms of the physical benefits of the 24-inch (to me, and my use at least).

I also use a laptop, but that's a 13-inch. Like my 24-inch iMac, it has a Retina display, so can be set to a variety of very usable resolutions other than the default. However, it isn't ideal for extensive multi-document use. The iMac is great for that, however - also set to scaled rather than default.

I find it easier to see wider things than tall items. The 24" is the right height for me to not have to move my head up and down to see The Who;e screen. I can see the entire screen without moving my head bu I have to move my focus point left and right to see items clearly but I don't have to move my head. When I've used two monitors in the past it always required moving my head.
