I wish when it was released 5 years ago that it had USB-C. I have the old lighting version and they made no other improvements other than USB-C. I stopped wearing it because it was not comfortable. The next update should update the tech and make it comfortable, give it a on/off switch, allow it to be more compact when you fold it up. And it could sound better for that much money.

PSA: AirPods Max have a known defect with their WiFi flex cable breaks bricking the device. Mine gave me problems after one year, where it would randomly disconnect, lose noise cancelation, not able to connect, etc. I would have to do a hard reset about 75% of the time to get them to work only for them to give me problems the same day. Mine became completely bricked after 4 years and this is with me using very sparingly, like pretty much never. Had to buy the WiFi flex cable for my right side and repair it myself which took 5 hours to do, it is not an easy repair to do. Also, this WiFi flex cable issue has not been fixed on the USB-C version. For anyone interested in buying these google wifi flex cable AirPods Max and you’ll see what I mean.

P.S.
the reason the WiFi flex cable breaks is because of the swiveling back and forth or the speaker housing when you put them in and take them out of the case. This causes that thin little flex cable to eventually break.

How much is the parts in Photoshop worth?
Photoshop is a tool that most use for business(in some form)…to make money.

Of note, photoshop gets updated regularly.

AirPods Max were designed for brand snobs (who don’t really care about sound as much as they say or think they do), who will buy anything with an Apple logo on it.

I can’t seem to find the Apple Logo after 4 years of using them. Looks I need some hatorade to see the Apple logo.

Had ours for 3 years, no issues. Love them, but definitely looking at my next move if they start malfunctioning. I don’t want to pay the price for another set if there’s no real improvements.

So they compete directly with other headphones in that market segment: Bose, Beats, B&O, Marshall etc ...

Not worth it. I bought the OG and the rubber headband is peeling and the mesh has lost all elasticity and for some reason the headband is not replaceable… probably because Apple knew it wasn’t going to last. It also has pairing issues… sometimes it works, other times it won’t, no matter how many times I reset it. Very infuriating.

My next ANC OTE will be the Sony 1000XM6. Same price (as Max’s discounted price), better product, better value.

I just can't bring myself to pay $500 (or more) for headphones. I don't care who makes them, how good they sound, or how well they're made. It's just too much. But then again, my ear for music is pretty basic – enough that I happily use the Apple Studio Display speakers most of the time, and AirPods at night when everyone else is sleeping. The cost of AirPods Pro 2 is about the top of my self-imposed spending limit for "headphones."
